Current Position N 89°49'41" E 135°27'10"
That puts our team at just over 10 nautical miles away from the North Pole!
They reported today as the most challenging day so far with a stiff wind coming from the South and windchill as low as -35°C. While the contrast was good, the team had to battle with blowing snow, and challenging visibility. The beginning of the day brought long flat pans of ice which continued for most of the day, but the last two hours of skiing consisted of weaving through pressure zones and open water.
If everything remains the same, the team is planning on reaching the pole at the end of the day tomorrow. Stay tuned! And listen to James's audio update below.
