Keith and Brian woke up this morning ready to hit the trail again. They had breakfast at 8AM, said goodbye to the rest of the South Pole Ski team, and boarded a plane bound for Vinson Base Camp. Upon arrival, they met with several climbers that had been on the mountain for the last two weeks enduring some adverse conditions, but our team of two quickly organized and continued for 4 hours up to Low Camp.

Travel was easy, although quite hot, under clear skies. Once the sun goes behind the mountain ridge around 11PM tonight it will become properly cold again, but the weather is forecast to cooperate tomorrow, so our team plans to make the long treak up to High Camp. Check back tomorrow for another progress update from Mt. Vinson!

The other three members of our South Pole ski team should be arriving back in Punta Arenas this evening.
