The Never-ending Uphill Slope

The team encountered some adverse conditions during the first full day of skiing today. Several of the guys slept cold which makes a challenging day that much harder. The weather conditions were beautiful for skiing (clear skies and a little breezy) but the terrain presented a never-ending gentle uphill slope.

Despite the all-day climb, the team still made 10k. When we spoke with them, the guides had just set up a double tripwire system as a polar bear deterrent so that everyone could get a full night's sleep (and not stay up for bear watch). Let hope they sleep warm and long so they can come at the challenge tomorrow fully rested. Listen to the audio update below and stay tuned for more info!
