Dealing With Wind and Snow

The team woke up this morning to a camp buried in snow; There was a blizzard overnight which left sections of their tents so covered that the team had to spend extra time digging ht tents out.

The blizzard continued on for the first couple hours of the day, leaving the team in windy, low visibility conditions. Once the storm cleared, it became just another perfect day to ski and the team covered 15km across the glacier. They saw their first sign of civilization since leaving Longyearbyen (some other people on a snowmobile tour) and are now poised to begin descending the glacier tomorrow. Stay tuned for more details and listen to Jason Jennings as he recounts the day in the latest audio update!
