Shortened Day Due To Wind

It was a beautiful day today, but it was also a cold day and the wind just kept coming and coming (almost a direct headwind). It all started out OK with clear skies but as the wind picked up the ground visibility went down, and with temperatures hovering around 0° F the windchill was REALLY cold.

On the move - Wohoo!!!

Storm Winds and Loud Tents

There's not much to report from today. No one ventured outside the tent for much more than a moment. Once, when John ventured out, the wind blew his goggles right off his head. Luckily Eric found them buried deep in a snow drift a little later.

Dye 2 - The Strangest Place and Storm #2

"One of the strangest places on Earth." That's how some people describe Dye 2. Our team toured it today with an expert (Salo) who has been there many times during previous icecap crossings.
