Meet the 2015 Polar Inspiration Expedition team!

Meet the adventurous team that makes up the 2015 Polar Inspiration Expedition!

Name Bio
Shannon Guzzo USA

I'm a 62 year old insurance professional living in northern CA.  As part of my goal to be fit for life, I set an extreme goal to participate in an expedition to the North Pole.  As part of my career in Long Term Care, I've seen the effects of Alzheimer's Disease on families.  I've created a fundraising project called Polar Inspiration for this expedition.  I'm "walking" to the North Pole for Alzheimer's.  Please see FB Polar Inspiration and www.polarinspiration.com for information.

Annie Aggens USA
Annie Aggens loves the polar regions and gets to talk about them every day as director of PolarExplorers. She has guided multiple expeditions to the North Pole, South Pole, Greenland and Iceland. She is the author of the Encyclopedia of Outdoor and Wilderness Skills and often lectures about polar history and expedition travel. Her role as polar guide allows her to teach people  about the effects of global climate change on the Arctic and polar regions. Favorite tent pastime? Playing her "guitarita" and having peotry slams. She is on the board of the International Polar Guide Association.
Brien Sheedy USA
Brien brings a wealth of outdoor education and expedition experience to trips he joins. Brien has been running the Whitman College Outdoor program since 2001. He has climbed the highest peak on every continent and has guided all over the world, including leading multiple Himalayan expeditions. He is
extremely proficient in a wide variety of skill areas including backcountry skiing, whitewater kayaking, rafting, sea kayaking and all aspects of climbing (rock, ice, big walls and high altitude.) He loves teaching outdoor skills and leading trips and
expeditions that help people push their limits and succeed at difficult challenges.
