Double Dispatch: Scenic Descent & Final Night

On Sunday our team descended the backside of the glacier they had climbed up the day before. Despite their downhill course, their pace was slower than typical. That's because they were roped together as a precaution against slipping into crevasses hidden beneath the snow. They didn't mind the slower pace because they had fantastic weather and outstanding scenery to enjoy.


After unroping at the base of the glacier, they continued their descent down Reindalen valley before setting up camp for the night.



Today the team broke camp and skied up the backside of Bolterdalen valley. Tomorrow they will conclude their journey by skiing down Bolterdalen to Adventdalen where they'll board their transport back to Longyearbyen.



Tonight the team gathered in the group shelter, as usual, and celebrated their final night on the trail together. It's
