I
The team had a great first full day on trail. They covered about 8 miles of southern progress, and hope ski 10 miles tomorrow.
Everything went smoothly, a testament to the team's preparation and fitness. In addition to the brutal cold and wind, they also have to contend with the altitude of the Antarctic plateau which is roughly twice the elevation of Denver.
With less than 50 miles to go, the last degree team is well positioned for success! Thank you for following along, and check back tomorrow to see if they make their 10 mile goal in the Antarctica wilderness.
