Prep Day at Union Glacier

(January 4th, 2023) Due to adverse weather conditions near the South Pole preventing a flight to the Last Degree, the team enjoyed a beautiful day at Union Glacier Camp. It began with watching 26 skydivers jump over the camp. Truly an unusual sight.

In the afternoon, the team packed their sleds and went for a long ski out of camp (2.5 hrs) to stretch their legs and burn off some excited energy. Hopefully conditions will clear soon and the team will be able to continue on to 89 Degrees South and finally take their first steps toward the South Pole.
