We are very happy to share that our team reached the summit of Vinson at 4 PM local time today. They had great weather and a fun day on the mountain. Several other teams also summited, 40 people in all, which can happen when there is a weather delay. Rather than any sense of competition there was a lot of camaraderie and a good time was had by all.
That doesn't mean it was easy, it's a long day up to summit and back to basecamp. But with wonderful views including at the summit and along the summit ridge we hope that everyone was able to take it all in!
Everyone is back at High Camp and well fed. They are now enjoying their well deserved rest before they descend all the way to Vinson Base Camp tomorrow.
